O GANESH

You are born from dust and love.
Parvati, Mother of the world, shapes you with her gentle hands
to guard the sacred doorway.
You know only light,
and you protect it with the quiet strength of innocence.
Shiva comes — Lord of Fire —
and he does not recognize you.
In a flash of anger, he strikes.
Your head falls, the sky breaks,
and all becomes still.
But love is greater than wrath.
Shiva walks into the deep forest,
finds the head of an elephant — wise, ancient, strong —
and places it upon your child’s body.

You open your eyes.
You become the bridge between the seen and unseen.
No longer just a guardian,
you are now the beginning. You walk with us, Ganesh.
You know the unspoken obstacles.
You carry the mysteries in your belly,
the sweetness of fruit in your hand,
and the strength of forgiveness in your smile.
Sitting upon the singing bowl of the world,
you listen to the music of our hearts.
You hear our fears
and fold them back into light.
O Ganesh,
child wounded into wisdom,
elephant of grace and memory,
bless my steps today.
Remind me that every fall can become an offering,
and every ending, a sacred threshold.
Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha
The path begins with you.
